    Warning signs for burnout

Tired? Overwhelmed? Irritable? No longer able to handle routine responsibilities?

Chronic exhaustion, emotional fatigue, and negative thought patterns can signal you’re rapidly approaching or have already reached the point of burnout.

  • Woman lying down exhausted.

How burnout affects our physical health

We can experience exhaustion, head and body aches, disruptive eating and sleeping habits, and weakened immune systems when we’re chronically stressed, overwhelmed, or burned out.

  • Man sitting on floor holding hands to his head, symbolizing mental exhaustion.

How burnout affects our mental health

Burnout can bring a negative or cynical outlook.

People lose their passion for work or hobbies and begin isolating from social interactions.

Chronic stress, overwhelm, and burnout can lead us to feel increasingly irritable, angry, resentful, and anxious.

  • Road to burnout. Car on shoulder of road with hazard sign behind it.

    The road to burnout

Is commonly paved with a lost sense of self and by recognizing when we’re persistently overwhelmed yet avoid taking action or asking for help to get ourselves unstuck.

  • A paved road running into the distance with beautiful peaceful scenery along the sides and a blue sky with a bright sun in the distance.

    The road through burnout

Is commonly paved with a renewed sense of self, taking intentional action, accepting what is within our control, and seeking support from friends, family, and professionals.

  • Man walking down path with arms spread wide. Symbolizing walking with purpose and balance.

    Beyond burnout...

Growth in overcoming burnout provides a closer sense of purpose and enables us to realign areas of our lives that bring greater meaning, fulfillment, and joy.

    Imperfectly resilient

Resilience is our strength to cope with stress and adversity.

We live resiliently when we are in control of our thoughts and actions.

Learning to accept the imperfections in and around us allows us to focus on the present instead of a more ideal future version of ourselves or our lives.

Specialty Focus Areas

  • The road to and through burnout doesn't lead to overnight recovery. However, we can experience relief the very moment we begin to take action to restore our flame (i.e., resilience) and regain a sense of control in our lives.

Feeling stuck is the top challenge that burnt out individuals face. Even if we begin to challenge the safety and predictability of life as we know it, the fatigue, mind and mood dysregulation, and general sense of overwhelm can leave us in a frozen state.

  • I help individuals embrace their ADHD, autism, etc. as a cheat code that can unlock a playbook on effectively navigating many aspects of daily living. While I serve as a coach, I present as a peer-mentor and bring relatable guidance from my own journey with mind and mood regulation, emotional intelligence, and supercharging the unique aspects of my wiring.

Issues that typically lead a client to working with me include:

Emotion Regulation — Our nervous systems are wired in a way that makes us feel emotions intensely, challenging the ability to respond in a neutral or calm demeanor.

Executive Functioning — Dysfunction of the prefrontal cortex makes organization, focus, and completing routine tasks difficult, especially following stressors and/or transitions.

Sensory Overload — High sensitivity is a common trait that can serve as a superpower until the information collected from the 5 senses exceeds processing capacity.

Masking — Adapting behavior and personality traits to fit ‘normal’ expectations can lead to a lost sense of identity, imposter syndrome, and withdrawal from social interactions once drained from a lack of feeling authentic.

  • Experiencing your mid-life awakening can lead you down a path of enlightenment and greater life fulfillment as you connect more deeply with your inner self and begin to question life as you previously knew it.

I help clients navigate the dark days that precede enlightenment and self-actualization. Those where we experience a flood of emotions and thoughts, as well as an intense sense of urgency to narrow the gap between our current reality and that which we know to be attainable as our consciousness expands.

I know firsthand how difficult it can be to escape overwhelm and burnout.

Testimonials

  • Highly Intuitive

Brandon has helped coach and mentor me at different points in my career. It’s amazing how quickly he can grasp the situation I’m dealing with and support me with practical advice.

I find myself coming back to work with Brandon to be seamless as it’s like we never miss a beat from past situations he has helped me navigate. I trust him immensely!

    — Stephanie P.

  • Glad I Finally Asked for Help

I learned about what Brandon does through my niece who’s mentoring with him at college. I related to just about everything in his personal story with burnout. She knew I hadn’t been happy at work and wanted me to work with him, but I thought it was silly to hire a life coach.

I finally reached out to him a couple months later and realize that getting out of my own way and trusting another person to help me is a huge part of my growth. I feel like he’s a blend of coach and mentor and like how he keeps me focused on forward progress.

    — Lance K.

  • Taking Control of My Career

My former employer went through a reorganization and I found myself having to decide what path I wanted to take for the first time in over a decade. A friend who worked with Brandon previously shared how he helped her make a radical career change and connected me with him as a life/career coach.

He helped me with insightful assessments, but the thing I enjoyed the most was his love vs. loathe exercise. This forced me to prioritize my passions and interests in my new job and has renewed my confidence that my career is in my control.

    — Jennifer J.

  • Relatable

While I was in the midst of significant burnout, I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. My therapist recommended me to Brandon for coaching. I could have learned a lot of what we’ve covered so far on my own, but I like working with him because he shares his personal experience with overcoming similar struggles and doesn’t make me feel bad about myself. I like how he looks at my diagnosis as a cheat code for navigating life instead of problems I’m dealt with.

    — Mike P.

  • Helped Me Get to the Root

My therapist thought Brandon would be a great fit to help me recover from overwhelm because he works closely with the DBT that she would work with me on during therapy sessions.

He helped me get everything that I was worried about out of my head and on paper. Then we focused on what was within my control and he helped me practice radical acceptance for the things I couldn’t change. It may sound too simple, but I came to realize the root of my problems was a lost sense of who I was that left me sleepwalking through life.

  • Authentic Leader

Brandon is a rare breed of leader in a corporate setting. He is a genuine and personable people leader but also knows how to navigate the nuance of corporate hierarchies.

While other leaders may say the right things, Brandon actually delivers on his commitments and is always straightforward with his teams.

    — Dana A.
